Welsh Wildlife Photographer of 2011 awarded by the Wildlife Trust
Born and raised within a foresters family living and working in the New Forest, Hampshire, moved to Wales many years ago, now living in mid Wales, I have a deep love for nature and the countryside.
After years of hard and sometimes very cold work I have been lucky enough to have been named as The Welsh Wildlife Photographer 2011 by the Wildlife Trust for the photo of two otter cubs fighting, to be found in the shop section of this website.
Also the winner of the Peoples Choice, Professional Category, of the 2011 National Marine Photography Competition.
A strong believer in helping the Welsh keep their traditional countryside way of life that has in some farming families existed for generations.
Local farmers and landowners , also RSPB, National Trust, Welsh Wildlife Trust and all the other conservation organisations, I have to thank for letting me roam their land, for their help and information, as without their help most of my photographs would not exist.
If you have an unusual regular vistor to your garden or land, please phone me, its tip offs I rely on, top of my shopping list for 'must get', Pine Martins, Red Squirrels and Hares, if you have any of these on your land please contact me!
I will hasten to add, all my wildlife photographs are taken in the wild, non are of animals or birds kept in captivity or tamed.
Some of my work is being used by the Red Squirrel Survival Trust to promote the conservation of these lovely little creatures, also the European Squirrel Initiative are using my work for their current Christmas cards.
Various wildlife magazines, the BBC, National Trust as well as more local newspapers, magazines and event organizers are using my work, for education, advertising, news features etc. Commercial buyers of my work now include several overseas companies, located in South Africa and Dubai to name but a few.
My work can be bought from my online shop here on this web site or from my stand at shows I attend during the year.
As mentioned above I give talks, lectures etc to a wide range of audiences in England and Wales, and am available for bookings.
In browsing this site, the galleries give examples of my range of work, however my popular photographs are to been seen for sale in the shop section.
I hope this web site can raise a smile to all who may of lived or spent a holiday or two in the area or those who simple love nature.
